Coaches wanted for School Clubs

Could you motivate and coach the next generation of cycling stars?

We are presently looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join us on a casual basis to deliver fun, engaging and inspiring after-school cycling sessions in local primary schools.

Coaches work in pairs (a lead coach and an assistant) to run after-school clubs during the summer months starting May/June 2018. The role will appeal to those who have a keen interest in cycling, enjoy working with children and would like to gain experience of coaching cycling in a school.

Coaches need to have previous experience of working with children in a school setting and havesome experience of coaching sport. They will also hold a valid DBS certificate and have access to their own transport.. Head coaches will ideally be keen cyclists themselves and hold a professional teaching or coaching qualification such as Bikeability, National Standards, NGB level 1-2 etc.

The after-school clubs will initially be for 2 hours a week (3-5pm) and run for 5 weeks in summer then again in the Autumn.

Coaches will work on a freelance basis coaching between 15 and 20 primary school children in a school. The roles will require the coach to travel to the school once a week, set up an activity area, register the children, deliver the program and clear away afterwards. Sessions will last approximately one hour and take place within the school grounds.

If you are interested in these roles or would like to register your interest for working with us in the future, please forward your details using the feedback form here, or contact us for an application pack.
