Strider Clubs

Pro Ride Strider Clubs are community-based clubs designed to help young children develop into competent and confident cyclists through the use of balance bikes. Parents and carers can book a course of lessons or just turn up and borrow a bike and helmet at one of our drop-in sessions. As an authorised dealer of STRIDER® balance bikes we are keen to showcase how quickly children as young as 18 months learn to ride these great little bikes giving them confidence and skills for life.

Pro Ride Strider Clubs have been set up to deliver our new balance bike programme for children aged between 2 and 5. There are three levels - starters, developers and champions with easy transition between levels. Each session aims to teach balance and coordination, core stability and gross and fine motor skills through repitition with the end goal of learning to ride a pedal bike. For some this is achieved in a matter of weeks, for others, just being part of a club, where they can make new friends and learn to ride in a safe, trafic-free environment is enough to keep them coming back week after week.

Children quickly gain confidence, zooming round the mini motor racing-style circuit with sweeping corners, hair-pin bends and bmx-style ramps. As well as learning to ride the circuit, children are given the chance to take part a series of engaging and fun challenges including mini sprint races, a limbo, a log challenge and a water splash (don't worry, it's not real water!).

Children can either bring their own balance bike or, try out and use one of our market-leading Strider bikes for the sessions. As they develop in confidence and want to practice their skills at home or in the park, we offer a number of options to purchase your own Strider together with helmets, gloves, pads and other equipment if required.

Strider Club options - there are three ways you can access a Pro Ride Strider Club session;
